How MessageLink Works: If you subscribe to Personal Secretary Plus, your call is answered by MessageLink when you don't answer after a designated number of rings and if you have also subscribed to Call Forward on Busy, if you are on another call, MessageLink will answer. If you subscribe to Personal Secretary (Your mailbox number doesn't match your phone number) you must manually forward your calls to MessageLink. 1. Listen for dial tone. 2. Dial *72 3. When you hear a second dial tone, enter the MessageLink access number. 4. When MessageLink answers, hang up - your number is call forwarded to voice mail. 5. To cancel call forward to MessageLink, listen for dial tone and dial *43 Callers will hear your personal greeting and may leave you a message at the tone. If you subscribe to Personal Secretary Plus, you will know you have new messages when you pick up your telephone handset and hear a " stutter dial tone". You may still place and receive calls when you hear the message waiting tones. If you subscribe to Personal Secretary, ( your mailbox number doesn't match your phone number) you will periodically have to dial the MessageLink access number to check and see if you have any new messages You will need a touch tone phone to set up your mailbox and retrieve messages. Persons with either touch tone or rotary phones will be able to leave you messages. |
